STANDARD 11 Coal Induction
STANDARD 11 COURSE OUTLINE
Standard 11 mine induction course on offer to meet some Queensland coal mining site entry requirements. The course was developed in response to the introduction of Recognised Standard 11 which is a new Standard for meeting health and safety
obligations in the coal mining industry in Queensland.
The Standard 11 induction course is primarily designed for short-term contractors who move between multiple sites and have current industry experience relevant to their role.
Basic verbal and written English communication skills sufficient to read material and understand instruction. Driver’s Licence and Work experience relevant to your role.
HOW LONG WILL TRAINING TAKE?
Typically the training and assessment is competency-based and is 2 days.
Please Note-Total time is dependent on competency of each individual.
HOW IS THE TRAINING DELIVERED?
Training and assessment is both practical and theory based and delivery.
FULL COURSE TRAINING– Practical and theory training based on theory concepts and set tasks that need to be completed. The learner is then given a theory and a practical assessment.
Step 1-Completion of theory training and equipment familiarization
Step 2– Learner completes practical training in a structured learning environment in a small group.
Step 3– Learner completes a final theory and practical based assessment and is issued a Statement of attainment.
REFRESHER COURSE TRAINING– Practical and theory training based on theory concepts and set tasks that need to be refreshed. Designed for learners who have previously completed their Standard 11 Coal induction and are obtaining a refresh for industry requirements.
Step 1-Completion of theory and practical training and equipment familiarization.
Step 2– Learner completes a final theory and practical based assessment and is issued a Statement of attainment.
